Re: ATI Eyefinity
We have this new 3D viewing technology available.
As yet I have been unable to view pointcloud data as RiScanpro does not support the dual outputs required.
Our IT boffins are investigating running two instances of RiScanpro in parallel as a work around.
I see real value in being able to interrogate pointcloud data in 3D. It should make identifying rogue points (vegetation etc) much easier, and allow a far superior view for interpretation and analysis.
IT are also looking into using the same tech with 3 'man' size screens to provide a walk in virtual reality type experience.
The sooner pointcloud software vendors get on to this the better.
Does anyone know of any pointcloud software that currently produces the two simultaneous outputs needed?

Re: ATI Eyefinity
We have workstations with two seperate 21" monitors and sometimes use them to view larger, high density point clouds in more detail. I just drag the window to both screens and turn up the number of points, runs really well.
I think that I would rather buy a single large HD monitor than have seperate ones.
Still looks really cool though.

If you don't see that there is nothing, then you are kidding yourself.

Re: ATI Eyefinity
I will try and find out who the early adopters will be and post my results here
